TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS 

We require a £100 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit to confirm an order and hold your wedding date. The remaining final payment is due 4 weeks before the delivery date, at which point all changes must be confirmed in writing by email (changes to the previously agreed design may incur extra fees). Payment can be made earlier if you wish and you notify us. Failure to complete payment 4 weeks before the delivery date may result in your order being cancelled. By making a payment the client is accepting the Terms and Conditions as detailed on this page. We accept bank transfers or cash.

PRICE QUOTATIONS
All written price quotations are held for 14 days from the date of quotation. To secure you must pay your full save the date deposit of £100. If you decide later than 14 days that you'd like to book the design you have previously discussed you will need to first get in touch with us and check the quotation/date availability



CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
Orders, excluding wedding cakes, that are cancelled within 1 week of the collection date will be charged 50% of the outstanding balance.
The £100 deposit for wedding cakes is non-refundable under any circumstances due to any loss of business arising from turning away other bookings for that date and any work that has already been completed on your order. Should you need to cancel your wedding, cancellations less than 8 weeks before the wedding date you will be charged the full payment, cancellations made 6 months before your wedding may be subject to a cancellation charge, cancellations over 6 months in advance will lose the save the date deposit. In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason, then we will give you as much notice as possible, discuss the matter with you and try to agree a suitable alternative. If you do not wish to accept our suggested alternative, then we will refund the full cost to you.


DELIVERY/COLLECTION

Scrumbcakes will no longer be responsible for any cake once it has been collected by the customer or their representative. If we have been commissioned to deliver and set up the cake it will remain our responsibility until such time it is handed over to the customer or their representative eg. caterer or venue management.

Whilst every effort will be made to deliver a cake, we cannot be held liable for weather, traffic or other conditions that are beyond our control. Any financial compensation for non-delivery, which is deemed the fault of Scrumbcakes, is limited to the cost of the order.

DESIGN MEETINGS

Design meetings are by appointment only and are only necessary for our wedding cakes, An appointment for a design meeting must be agreed on with Scrumbcakes by email. Your bespoke design wedding cake appointment includes one design meeting and unlimited email correspondence, plus one sketch of your chosen design (if required) and this is charged at £30.

CAKE STAND HIRE

Cake stands can be hired out at a one off charge of £10, with a refundable deposit of £60 taken and refunded once the stand is returned in its original condition. Stands must be returned to us within 5 days, failure to do so would result I the deposit not being refunded even if the stand is returned at a later date.

OTHER

We no longer make naked, or semi naked cakes, we only offer buttercream or fondant cakes. We also offer gluten or dairy free but only in cupcakes with a minimum order of 12.
